So every time I keep trying to play MP it keeps saying nothing is available.
Main reason I tried to get back in H2V is cause I saw a mod that allowed ranks to be brought back in the game(server wise though), and i was REALLY exited.
Sadly I found out that the MP didn’t work.
If anyone has any information on how to fix it or if it was shut down for a reason please post it.
Also if Microsoft did an unexpected shutdown of the MP in H2V,…>.> c`mon man at-least tell us that’s just rude.
Probably an error. You would think they would fix it by now (It’s been unavailable all week).
T-T true, maybe Microsoft hasn’t noticed because not enough people(if any) have complained to them of the problem.

Interestingly people have been given different reasons by support why the Halo 2 Vista MP is down. Some supporters say due to maintenance, others because of an update. At least none of them said that the servers have been just shut down for ever.
But it is very suspicious, that this downtime is now several days. Well, as far as I understood, the servers can be shut down by MS sometime during October 2012 (because of their Microsoft Support Lifecycle Policy.)
At least it says that “mainstream support” for Halo 2 Vista expires at 09.10.2012 (european date format).
So as far as I get it, the MP servers should still be on at least until that date, but that´s just an assumption.
I would laugh if they got confused with the year cause the thing ends on 2012, and they might of thought it would end this year.
On a more serious note, would the game just die(MP wise) when that date is reached or will they just stop updating it from now on?

I can’t imagine microsoft keeping the servers alive for longer than they have too due to their policy; I should re-install H2V and go finish my multiplayer achievements before they become impossible when the maintenance is finished.
