Ok so here is how I’m guessing this to pan out… I’m guessing around Holiday 2013 we get a special Halo 2 DLC. Frankie already knows that we want a H2 multiplayer experience more so than a redone campaign. So I think we will see the likes of some Halo 2 favorites as DLC for Halo 4 which I believe will feel a bunch like Halo 2. Why 2013 and not 2014? Because Halo 4 will be olddddd in 2014.
If they were going to do this which maps would be your top 7 priority?
I always forget about Backwash because of the bad framerate. They could get it to work in a new Halo game. I’d love to see a new awesome version of Backwash. Maybe even a frosty arctic version. I loved that map.

To be Honest, I’ve only played Multiplayer on some of these maps others I’ve just walked through them. Kinda came in late for H2.

I’ve played on all of them at least 30+ times each. Backwash actually got removed from matchmaking because of the bad framerate. haha It was still an awesome map.
Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Halo 4 won’t be old in 2014.
Halo games have a 3 year life span. Reach… wasn’t Halo.
soo I’d say in late 2015 Halo 4 will not be new… but it sure won’t be old.
What I’m worried about currently is that when Halo 4 rolls out, none of the DLC maps for Reach will be there. A year after loving the new maps will get dashed. I can only hope that these maps will return in Halo 4.

True we only have a bit over a year to enjoy the new DLC before H4 comes out. I personally will still be in touch with Reach though when H4 comes out.

Of course Reach is Halo, it play pretty much identical too its predecessors, I will be playing Reach just as frequently as I do every other Halo game 9which is all the time, I play through the whole story ofthe games atleast once a month), you know because I am a real halo fan, unlike you, who played Halo 2 and thinks he knows everything about how Halo should be… but back on Topic, OP, I love your Idea, I hope they hire you to choose maps for future DLC map packs :). I personally am hoping for Containment, I ove the open/close gates to block out vehicles/ ramps for warthogs, plus that map felt like it had two well planned out bases.

Me too, sadly. I downloaded ALL of the maps for Halo 2 for free, but it took like an hour or two for them to finish. That was the day before XBL1 went down. The week after i decided to get back on Halo 2 and look at the maps I would never get to plat on online again. When I started the game to my surprise it asked me to sign in to XBL and i thought to myself,“OMG THEY DIDN’T DO IT!” Then it asked me too update. BAD IDEA. It scrambled all my maps and corrupted them. So i had no way to fix them, and I was forced to make a choice: let them take up all that memory or delete them. It wasn’t a vain death though. As the Reach beta was on its way. Halo 2 November 9th, 2004 - April 14th, 2011.
