I have found 4 terminals in Halo 2 so far, and every time I try to access one, it starts up the Halo Channel, tries loading the video, and exits back to Halo 2. I don’t get the achievement, the game doesn’t say I have found it, and the Halo Channel says I still need to find it, despite the fact that it just failed to load it. Anyone else getting the issue? Also the Halo Channel has been going to a black screen the last few times I have tried using it, so I think that might be broken as well.
I had a similar problem in the MCC version of Halo: CEA (but not Halo 2A, which works fine for me). Trying to watch the terminal a second time immediately after it went back to the game usually worked.
I had the opposite problem, they worked in H:CEA but not H2:A.
I wonder if the server streaming all these videos is just getting hit really hard.

Would you happen to be using a capture card? I noticed that I was having similar problems with terminals, then noticed it was because the Xbox Console was blocking videos from playing because it was detecting my capture card, via HDMI encryption. Once I disconnected my capture card, terminals performed as expected. Hopefully this helps in your case.
I am having the same exact issue, but worse is I got the achievement for one of the terminals, but got a black screen - and then saw it was unviewable in the Halo channel.
all I can say is -Yoink- Xbox One and I am tired of -Yoink- OSes and “apps” being shoved down my throat
They should’ve put all of the terminal videos in the actual MCC files. “Halo Channel” is a waste of time, I’m beginning to detest 343 and Microsoft for their snide practices with all of their bloatware.
Having the same issue achievement won’t pop and video won’t load… really not happy about this. I want to get every achievement and can’t now WTF!!! This game has more issues then a schizophrenic.
I had the same problem with the terminal on Gravemind, got the chevo but it was unviewable do to black screen on Halo Channel. I re-found it the next day and worked fine.
