Halo 2 sprint cut content

I am very aware of Gamercheats13 video on sprint being a cut content, but what did he mean by pacing issues? The reddit forums are not helping. They just keep adding stuff but don’t really explain anything.
Also I have been scouring the internet trying to find information about sprint in Halo 2 because some members in reddit forums has said that Bungie pledged to have sprint in the Halo series. Not only that, Halo 2 was rushed out and a lot of content was scratched like the gungoose, which strangely made its way back into the Halo 2 Anniversary

Are there any old articles relating to this?

As far as I am aware, sprint animations in Halo 2 have been largely unknown until recent years. I don’t think there are any articles about sprint in Halo 2 or it’s reasons of being cut, at least no articles from the usual sites I visit. Personally I think it’s such a moot argument to debate why or why not sprint was cut from H2.

It just baffles me that the sprint animations were there but there were no real talks on why it was really cut out. The reddit forums didn’t provide me sufficient information to draw a possible conclusion. Pacing issues as in what they couldn’t get the run speed right or was it because they didn’t have enough time to get sprint right. There are too many people throwing false facts like Bungie never intended to have sprint, yet there were so many things cut from Halo CE and Halo 2 like the jetpack that made its way back into Halo Reach. And to me, Halo Reach was probably the vision they had in mind since Halo CE.
And I try to search it but there are no old articles about this.

There’s likely no articles because it was seemingly cut so early in development. It wasn’t something that needed to be talked about and so never was. If you really want definitive answers on it, you’d have to ask one of the dev’s at Bungie that originally worked on it
