As I was playing through H2A, I noticed some of the music had changed, such as when you first hop into a Heretic Banshee, and when you enter the Mausoleum of the Arbiter, where an instrumental version of “I Will Not Bow” by Breaking Benjamin played in the original. A lot of the main soundtracks stayed the same, though, if a little updated (and they sound amazing now).
So, I’m wondering, which soundtrack do you prefer? And do you mind some of the smaller musical cues have changed?
Old and yes I do mind that some of the old music cues have been changed especially Reclaimer.

Agreed. I was thrown off a couple times when I heard the new cues.
Listening to both Soundtracks I still like the original more. It has something to do with the production that just puts me off. I actually like the new instrumental songs implemented during the Mausoleum Fight and Heretic Banshee fight.
The original song played during the Mausoleum fight was actually “Blow Me Away”

Heh, you’re right, it is. I always get I Will Not Bow and Blow Me Away mixed up.
I just wish that I was able to have the old music play with the new graphics. I can do it in CE. Theres no reason I shouldnt be able to do it in 2.
A lot of the music in the original was so quiet you could barely hear it. The only part where I switched to old graphics purely for the music was when the Blow me away instrumental started. Because it’s a different song in the remake which I don’t really like. I would have absolutely loved to hear a remix of Blow me Away.
It is still strange to me these tracks were in Halo 2 at all, don’t get me wrong they were awesome, but it just seems… out of place, at least the new ones do. If you don’t really think about it it doesn’t matter so much though.
