Now first and foremost, a little background on this challenge and myself:
My experience: Mythic conqueror of Halo 3, ODST and Reach campaigns.
SLASO = Solo Legendary All Skulls On.
Single Segment/SS = Playing the level in one run from start to finish without dying.
Mythic = SS SLASO + scoring and accompanying game stats + a film of the game (only available in H3, ODST and Reach).
As I’ve been interested in pushing myself within the limitations of the game before with the prior Halo’s and the fan made Mythic difficulty setting, I had dabbled around with the idea of doing Halo 2 in the same fashion. The challenge itself had been around since the early days of Halo 2 but until only recently, a player called Mr Monopoli managed to complete Halo 2 SLASO with a combination of both single and segmented runs, and upon hearing of such a feat, it was more than enough to get myself in gear for the challenge. To date though, no one has managed to do every level in a single segment, which is the feat I now hope to achieve.
So Halo Waypointers, I’d like you to follow my progress as I attempt to break arguely the most difficult Halo game campaign wise at its absolute hardest.

Coming soon: I need to edit the clips I’ve taken into a more manageable file, that’s preferably not a gig in size that they total now.
The levels will be uploaded to my Youtube channel whenever I complete one, so check back every so often. It’s my aim to at the least get one level done per week in order to keep both myself motivated and any viewers interested.
So you’re not doing SLASO as fast as possible, but just trying to complete it? I know a guy who completed Outskirts in like half your time, but good job.

Although I’m taking a lot of inspiration from your current runs, I just don’t have the real ingenuity for the speedruns you pull off. For me, just doing the level without dying’s the real challenge. Going for speed is just hair-rippingly frustrating for me, hence why speedrunning’s never really been my thing.
And to those who are still looking at this topic every now and then, I’ll be getting Uprising done within the next 2 weeks. I’ve got to finish up my assignments for Uni first and foremost before I can focus more time to H2 SS SLASO.

Don’t worry, take your time on this, we can wait. I’m like you, I don’t enjoy speedrunning like those guys but I still use some of the techniques I see them use. This is fascinating stuff.
