I have recently bought Halo 2 Vista off of amazon. When I successfully installed the game, It asked me to sign in to my Microsoft account, In which I did. Then asked me for my key. I put in the key, and I know i did it correctly as I tried many times and even got Family members to check and see if it was correct. The key would not work. I contacted amazon. They said it was an Microsoft game and to contact them. The person of the Microsoft Customer Support directed me to another person named Sanny because he didnt have any info on the case and wasnt in the correct department to help resolve my issue. All of that took at least 2 hours and then when I started chatting with sanny. He/She sent me here. He/She said they worked in the Consle gaming department and that I would have to post a thread on here. So, here I am. After many hours of my night taken, asking for help. So, Please help. Im just trying to be a good father and get this game working for my son.
Did you buy the game new or used? Unfortunately, each product key for Halo 2 Vista can only be used five times before it becomes invalid, so someone may have sold you a key that had already reached its activation limit.
This support page includes contact numbers that can be called to obtain a new support key, since the general Microsoft Customer Support number was of no help. However, it does say there may be a cost involved. Also, since the support page hasn’t been updated in almost four years, the phone numbers may be obsolete. Sorry I can’t be more help.
