No. There’s no reason to.
- Achievements? Halo 2 PC has them
- Bring back the multiplayer? Halo 2 PC
- Better Graphics? This is the only argument for it. Honestly though, there has to be more than a graphical update to make it worth the effort of re-releasing a game.
- Halo 2 map ports for Halo 4? A simple map pack.
Halo CEA has a reason for its existence: This is the ten year anniversary of the franchise, CE being the thing that started it all.
As long as they keep the Scarab Gun and add the new vocal version of Blow Me Away, I’m fine.
Wait for the tenth anniversary plz. By that point Microsoft’s new console should be out, and the improved graphics could make Halo CEA look like monkey poo.
How awesome would it be if the next xbox actually had a Halo at launch. The 360 didn’t have one, and I 've always felt this was a huge mistake on Microsoft’s part.

Nope. The new Xbox is not coming out until atleast 2015
I think they need to update all of the games to the same level so they all have achievements and online co-op etc. Halo 2 is the only one that needs this treatment now.

This. I don’t see a reason for it. I’d much rather they spend the time, effort, and materials on Halo 4, 5, and 6.
If they made a Halo 2 remake I would just send them my entire wallet. I WANT ITTTTT

I BELIEVE that all of the Halo titles from the original trilogy will dawn the glories of high resolution and achievements. Waypoint is going to want to have a complete Halo series tracker at some point.
Plus, Halo 2 might have been the funnest FPS button combo based game. Now that I think about it, I think it’s the only one. BXB, BXR, RTRTYY… FTW.

I don’t think Halo 3 needs a remake tbh.

So? There was no real reason for a Halo 1 remake. It has a PC port is cheap and a community. Your logic is broken.

It’s a tribute to the 10th anniversary to the game that started it all, and is a good launching off point for 343 to prove themselves to the Halo community.

Not quite.
Halo CEA is being made not simply to update it, but because this is the tenth anniversary of the Halo Franchise. 343 is taking this opportunity to update the graphics of the game and add some new story points, but that is not the reason behind the making of CEA.
Honestly, I was against a remake of Halo CE because of the PC version. I play it, it’s a lot of fun. I just started playing Halo 2 for PC online. It’s amazing. Halo 2 PC features just about everything people want in the Halo 2 remake except for updated graphics (not that Halo 2 needs them. The game is still beautiful after 7 years). So in the end, I can see no reason to remake Halo 2.
