I was wondering if people wanted Halo 2 back like Halo:CE is. So, reply as yes, maybe, or no. And I don’t care why you think the way you think, why they won’t redo it, or it is still on PC because I don’t care very much on it. And if there enough people I might try to start something. I don’t know for sure but I am for sure a yes. Thanks!
They should have left the servers on, or turn them back on. Halo 2 had one of the highest populations between old LIVE and new LIVE.
Since turning them on will never happen, they should re-release it on the arcade or something. I don’t want 343 to change anything about it, other than graphics, which they are changing in CE. Hopefully they revamp the whole series, like Sly Cooper for the PS3.

Or better yet, they can release Halo 2 Multiplayer with working customs and matchmaking on the XBL arcade for 1600 points. I would buy it and play it endlessly.

Even if it was just matchmaking I would DL/buy it and play it until 4 came out. Halo 2 ftw!
Thanks you guys. You guys are better then at bungie.net. Yeah I agree they should at least turn Halo 2 back on live. And maybe put the game up on the marketplace for everything like the campaign and all the maps for Halo 2 for like 1600 points. I don’t know we can only wish they will do that.
I don’t want a remake, I just want the servers turned back on. The freedom and game mechanics of Halo 2 is what made it great. Halo 3, was not the same nor would a remake be any different. Unless 343 were just to add a new engine over the layer of old code in multiplayer it wouldn’t be the same Halo 2 we all loved.

For me I really don’t care as long I get the campaign on my hard drive not a disk and for the multiplayer back on so i can play the greatest game on live ever.( and i say this cuz CEA is not out yet)
When you say Halo 2 redone, are you talking about the campaign or the multiplayer?
For me, redone campaigns make zero sense. I’m fine just playing the games that came out. But having a faithful, updated Halo 2 multiplayer with HD graphics would be great. Unfortunately, Microsoft dropped the ball on the CE Anniversary game, so why they would get it right for Halo 2 is hard to imagine.
I agree. It is obvious that they will never re-activate Halo 2’s online capabilities and so I would gladly welcome a Halo 2 remake.

I would love a Halo 2 Anniversary, but they should save it for the 10th, like CEA.
As for your comment on Bungie.net, I enjoy those forums, just not many of the people on the Reach forum. I’ve been here for a couple of months, but chances are many of them will slowly find their way here.

I wouldn’t go that far, Halo 3, ODST and Reach are still playable, plus I would argue Halo 3 is still the worst out of the main trilogy.
Has anyone taken into consideration that a remake of Halo 2 would be a monumental disaster? Think about it. What made that game so special was the BxR’s, quadshots, superbounces, and other endless glitches that 343 would surely try and patch if they did remake it. If they patched all of those things it would ruin halo 2 and make it a shell of what it was during 2005. Not to mention that the xbox live setup on halo 2 was so much better than the xbox live setup now. I don’t understand how we’ve taken such enormous steps backwards from 2005, it boggles my mind. The system was perfect with halo 2 and not a single game has even come close to such a user-friendly online setup. I love Halo 2 but If I want to play it I’ll just go hook up my xbc instead of placing my faith in a possibly skeptical remake.
Halo 2 Was popular by Design, But what made it incredibly popular was the things that wern’t in ther eby design, the super jumps, the button combos, the quad shot.
If they remade the game they would simply remove all of these features since they are all glitches and what do you know they will probably make some multiplayer balance tweaks and just make something that plays like Dull Halo 3.
