Does anyone know why Halo 2 PC does not count towards your Halo gamer score? can they not track that or something?
I think it’s because Halo 2 Vista is the black sheep of the Halo series. It wasn’t well received by fans of the original game’s PC port because its modding tools aren’t nearly as extensive, it required Windows Vista even though there was no technical reason preventing it from running on XP, and Bungie more or less disowned it. It’s never been that popular, so I guess Microsoft didn’t want to draw attention to it when they released Halo Waypoint.

I misread your original post. I thought you were asking why the achievements weren’t coming up on your gamertag. I never noticed that it didn’t count towards Halo Gamerscore here on Waypoint

I still have my copy of Halo 2 on pc & to be perfectly honest i like it better on the Xbox.
I really wish they’d count them. They were the first achievements for halo…

According to Wikipedia, the servers were never shut down in the first place.

I didn’t play it a lot to max it out, but thumb’s up, I think it sucks too.
Still have, just installed on Windows 10 to see if it would sync, as it shows my stats still there, but nada.
Oh well.

I’ve been reading reports for the last 2 months that the servers have been down for everyone. Can you verify they are up? I just need 5-8 hours to max that game out…

I was told I can host my own server and hand out the sever I.P. And people can join in on me. Idk the ligitamancy to that though

I would check but since I never actually registered the CD-Key on this account and the account I had registered it on, had been hacked. I haven’t actually played it for years.
(Actually, I found out that the code reset every year so if I could find my copy. I could redeem the key on this account and find out for you.)

True you can install the dedicated server, but I doubt now that Bungie is gone, that 343 is hosting any halo 2 PC servers.
Can halo 2 vista still be played? Do I need a physical copy? I’d like to try it out but I don’t know how to get it…
