no duh its community :P, Microsoft/343i shut down live servers years ago, but I can assure you its 100% safe the guys do this for the love of Halo 2, visit the forums H2v Hub • Information here and you will see their good message, nothing has happened to anyone and we have never gotten into trouble in the time of the project

I’m not saying it’s not safe, I’m saying that it may be against the Microsoft terms of use. If you want to use it, then fine, but seeing as this is essentially a modded game, but it may be violating the terms and conditions.

No need to get super technical, I’m sure Microsoft doesn’t give a damn about how someone plays a game from 12 years ago that they discontinued themselves, your probably the dude who actually reads the terms and conditions and EULA before accepting

Hello, I am a staff member for Project Cartographer and want to say thank you very much for posting the trailer! I can tell you that if you are wondering about violation Microsoft terms and agreements, Halo 2 can be considered “abandon ware” given that it has passed it’s official support date. Also, we even have a member from 343 that plays our game! This is 100% safe as we are not trying to harm but help Halo 2 since 343 as a company has decided to abandon it and not fix MCC or the problems H2V has had for years.
