Anyone having an issue with Halo 2 PC campaign freezing on them?
Every time I try to start up a Halo 2 mission on PC, the game freezes on me either during the opening cutscene or very shortly into the mission. It completely freezes up to the point where I can’t alt-tab out of the game to close it, I need to restart my whole computer, and it happens every time I try to load up a mission.
I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, updated drivers, verified game files through Steam, have tried various different missions, but nothing works so far. Halo 2 campaign just freezes on me, where Halo CE and Reach don’t seem to have these issues.

16GB Ram
GTX 1060

Been having the same problem, in my case the game crashes every time I open my internet browser (Firefox, don’t know if this affects other browsers as well), which sucks since I alt tab a lot, so try closing everything up.
For some reason this happens only in H2 and only in the campaign and I believe it’s because of some anticheat dumbness.
By the way this is unacceptable, the MCC is a broken mess and 343 should just be embarassed at how badly they managed every single aspect of what on paper is is greatest collection of games of all time.
somewhat similar issue, me and my friends cant get passed The Oracle. Submitted a ticket about it. We play ok until the halfway point (not 100% sure never played h2 story) when the cut scene boots up, about 2 seconds in it boots everyone back to campaign select screen and the party is disbanded. -Yoinking!- annoying as all get out.
I’m on the very last level. Cutscene freezes my game when Cortana says “Shoot”. I’m losing my -Yoink- mind, man… Every time I force the game to stop, it throws me back to the previous checkpoint.
