I’ve got myself and two others who need achievements, I think that’s enough for all of them except for Killtacular. We’ll have to iron out a schedule for it because they’re both Australian.

All you need is the updates that Windows Live Player forces you to do, other than that you dont need anything. As long as you can get into the multiplayer you’ll be fine. Im adding you to the list since you do want to be in.
OK, cool. I was playing H2V online for the first time earlier this month and everything seemed fine. I played 3 competitive sessions for a total of about 90 minutes and got 10 basic combat achievements without too much trouble.
Should each of us list which achievements we hope to get? I need several of the basic combat achievements which shouldn’t be hard but I also lack the more involved ones which might not be possible for this session.

I personally was planning on playing until we get the rainman and violent cartographer achievements,
And we can easily get the rest of the achievements in that time frame, because my guess is that it will at least take an hour to get those two achievements.
OK, it’ll be bros to the close if I can mix Halo references. I’m in until we’re all done.

Not to be a -Yoink- but I just noticed that this may collide with a playthrough on Halo 3 which I will be doing with some others to get the meta achievements. So to not ruin anything I would like to be transfered to the maybe pile

If by meta ones, you mean the Guerrilla through Reclaimer achievements, I did those solo this month and they were all very straightforward. I don’t know if you’re doing them for yourself or helping a friend but the following worked for me.
On Normal, I had the Catch, Fog, and Tough Luck skulls on although I added Famine for Exterminator because it’s a short level. Put more emphasis on kills and medals rather than a quick finish and you’ll have more than enough points even if the time multiplier is reduced to 1.0x.
