I left my Halo 2 OST playing on my xbox when I went AFK to play on the pc. After a hour or so I totally forgot about it then when I was messing around on steam I started hearing the OST again and thought to myself “was i playing halo?” I turn back NOPE! just 4.
Does anybody else find the OST for 4 dull compared to the halos.
Dull? No. Different? Yes.
The Arrival playing during the final part of the last level was incredible.
Nope. Ranks right up to Marty’s in my book.
I like the more orchestral style. Some parts are repetitive yes, but some pieces are very moving, like Green and Blue. I get where you think the original soundtrack sounds better by more iconic and grabbing themes, but I still really like moving parts and flowing pieces.
Dull? Not at all, green and blue as well as 117 and amazing pieces.
I feel that aside from the launch trailer song and ‘keep what you steal’ halo 3 had a pretty dull soundtrack.
I’m in absolute love with To Galaxy, Green and Blue and The Beauty of Cortana.
I personally find halo 4’s ost to be my favorite, followed closely by Halo 2’s
idk maybe its just i haven’t been listening to it that much but every time i hear Earth City i nostalgia all over the place.
4’s OST is nice, but Halo 2’s is my absolute favourite, the tracks just evoke so much emotion. It’s amazing, I don’t really get that with four bar the main menu music, so I think it’s in a different direction to the original trilogy? Yes, Reach was also different from the originals. Do I think it’s terrible? No, just not my favourite or second favourite. ODST holds the position of my second favourite OST, it had such a -Yoink!- vibe to it
