I cannot start a Halo 2 mission with anyone in co-op. The loading bar gets to the very end on the screen then it freezes for aminute and then sends me back to the main menu.
I had the same issue with H3.

Normally when that happens you need to hard reset your xbox halo 2 co-op is not broken since I run people through laso on halo 2
