Hey guys I was hoping that the cut scenes in halo 2 would not forget the events of Halo 3 ODST. Like when the carrier leaves the city I want to see ODST drop pods coming down from the sky. I am also hoping that there are some other nods to ODST like making sure that the areas outside of the play spaces look similar to the layout and design of ODST. I remember when I first played ODST it gave the city such a different look and feel when compared to halo 2 and I just hope halo 2 remastered holds on to the design choices of ODST so there isn’t this huge disconnect between the two games.
Im pretty sure just about nothing from ODST is included… except the silenced smg

Lol, Forreal.
what BeaTs said
How about they focus on making Halo 2 like Halo 2, and not Halo 3 ODST.

You guys don’t like how the city looked in ODST? You wouldn’t want the game to bridge the gaps between other halo games? Wouldn’t take all that much to have drop pods in the cut scene. Or to make the city look right.
This is the Master Chief edition…kinda makes sense why it isn’t included.

Didn’t read the original post did you?

Yes, ODST looked great… shared an underlying story with us… I liked firefight. But it isnt included in The MASTER CHIEF collection. I agree it would be cool if it was, but I understand why it isn’t.

Never said the game Halo 3 ODST should be included. I was referring to references to the game being added to halo 2 such as showing the drop pods falling, or making the city look more like the city in ODST.
So far the cutscenes haven’t really added much besides making everything visually awesome while preserving the original. I hear theres a new prologue/epilogue scenes somewhere… but I highly doubt any additions have to do with ODST. Just saying
Are you people even reading his post?
I think it would be really cool to add those little ODST points in there. Seeing the drop pods in the background even for a second would be a terrific nod.

Way to completely miss the point of his post. Try reading next time, it isn’t difficult.
OT: I can’t imagine they will but it would be nice to see a little nod to it, such as a couple of pods coming down briefly before the massive flash goes off.

The silenced SMG was in Halo 2 PC. So while in ODST, it was in Halo 2 first.
The reason the city streets look different is chief spends most his time in Old Mobasa. Outskirts is literally the outskirts.
The New Mobasa segment is mostly a bridge, a highway, a park, like 2 streets, then some random water feature.

I read it perfectly fine.
They shouldn’t change the art style of the city and the cutscenes to make it a homage to ODST. It should be a homage to, you know, the game theyre remaking!
That’d be sweet but it’s not happening.
I was hoping for this exact same thing. I’m almost certain that we will at least see the superintendent spread throughout the city. I also really hope that in the anniversary graphics it takes more of the futuristic approach, instead of the kind of boring grays and browns of the original halo 2 graphics. Lastly, it would be awesome if you saw the drop pods in the cinematic right before you left.
These other people clearly didn’t read your OP

Thank you for the extra knowledge/correction. Let me revise: I’m pretty sure NOTHING from ODST is included.
Blur was NOT thinking about ODST when they re-did the cinematics. Nobody is doubting the artistic ability shown in ODST. We are simply being realistic and doubting that ODST had any influence whatsoever in the making of H2A nor The Master Chief Collection in general. I’m sure you guys are doubting it too, or do you really have your hopes up for this? Based off of All of this content we’ve seen…Not happening.
I’ve read the OP & every comment thereafter.
Its a nice sentiment and would be cool considering i love Easter eggs, nods to other games, etc. but just to add some drop pods, fire, smoke, lighting, textures for a couple of secs in a cutscene

this makes sense to why the Superintendent shouldn’t be included or building textures replaced to more resemble ODST
i rather they(343i,Blur) spend their time wisely on the core games rather then little tiny things that might confuse people who haven’t played ODST.
