- I have reinstalled halo MCC and halo 2 both many times over and over
- I have verified files many times but each time it just says all files validated
- I have added the language packs
- It says that halo 2 anniversary multiplayer is available on the multiplayer menu but not halo 2 classic.
- I have tried deleting the MCC folder in the app data folder to clear the cache
- I have cleared the download cache a few times
I’m at a loss here. I have no idea why this is going on but there doesn’t seem to be any way to fix this. Is this a bug with Halo MCC in general? Also this is on the Steam version.
I’m still having this problem no matter what I do. I have sent a ticket in and I have not even gotten one response. I do not want to rebuy the game just to get it to work.
I have been having the missing content problem with halo 2 classic for weeks, its really -Yoink!- me off. Game says the halo 2 classic multiplayer and the halo 2 campaign will not work and says it is not installed, missing content. This is on pc / steam
I have tried language settings, the multiple ways to manage DLC in game and in steam, reinstalled the complete 139gb game including all unnecessary language packs at one time and did not start the game until the entirety of the game and all its DLC was done. Cleared my steam cache, signed in and out of steam, verified file integrity.
I’ve “checked” on all the useless character unlockables the game warns you about every damn time you start it up so that message STOPS SHOWING UP
I do NOT CARE that I’ve unlocked a few extra profile nameplates QUIT telling me every time I start the game
Every time I would disable / enable halo 2 it would say you’ve unlocked 17 items blahblah, I will never care about that garbage I am here to mainly play HALO TWO & THREE
I am now going to reinstall the entirety of the game again on my NVME boot drive which is only 500gb to see if it makes a difference. Which is absolutely unacceptable that I have to attempt installing a game this massive on a drive that it absolutely does not need to be on, my standard 1TB sata ssd is just fine to run and load these old games but I am going to try it anyway in case the game likes the boot drive better, even though my second drive is my default steam directory.
EDIT : reinstalling all 139gb on the NVME did not work same error.
Deleted the entire game and installed only halo 2 / halo 2 anniversary, still the halo 2 classic multiplayer does not work and all halo 2 campaign does not work. The classic H2 multiplayer is one of the largest reasons many of us purchased MCC
I played the entire halo 2 campaign around 4 months ago, not sure what happened. Seems like a bug, Absolutely pathetic.
