I want to try and get Helioskrill for Halo 5 and I head over to Halo: MCC and start Halo 2’s campaign, not from a playlist. I put on a few cheat skulls (because I’m just trying to make everything easier) and I beat the first few missions. I go on Halo Waypoint and my MCC service record says I haven’t played or beaten a mission of halo 2.
Am I doing something wrong? Did they revert back to cheat skulls disabling achievements? What’s going on?
edit: Yes, it’s on legendary.
It recommends not using the Scarab skull, due to some bug causing the stats to not appear on Waypoint, but still track in game. But other cheat skulls such as Bandanna or Envy should be free reign.
Can I fix this bug? Does it still let me get the Legend achievement?

The guy who made the post said you could try to replay the missions, but just disable the Scarab Skull. Once you’ve completed all the required games on Legendary, you can check the achievement in the “Progress” tab by opening the Xbox Guide, hitting “See all my achievements,” and selecting MCC. It may say that it was completed and just hasn’t unlocked for you.
Alright, thanks for the help! I’ll try to beat it without the Scarab Skull and see if that will help.
Update Edit: I tried playing through without the scarab and it still didn’t work. Now I’m playing through it without any skull and it’s now working.
Yeah I feel like any of the cheat skulls might just negate the completion progress, especially if you say it’s now working correctly when you don’t have any skulls on.
