So me and my friend played the mission Cairo Station on halo 2 anniversary, legendary, and when just one of us died, the game reset to the last checkpoint, I checked, and we didn’t have the skull that makes it do that on, it was so irritating that we couldn’t complete the mission because of this. Is it a glitch? Or does halo 2 legendary do this?

Halo 2 legendary unfortunately reverts you back to your last checkpoint when someone dies

Aside from reverting in Co-Op, without even mentioning the Jackal snipers, the enemies in Halo 2 can just be very aggressive and throw down tons of damage.
The main issue in halo 2 legendary is that all enemies have unrealistic reaction speed and fire their weapons at an extremely fast rate.

Halo 2 is tough on legendary. I’m not an achievement hunter so heroic is the funnest way to play for me, but good luck man!
thats just halo 2… another reason its the hardest halo to complete on legendary
It is very frustrating but hey that’s the way it’s always been and I don’t want it changed.
If anything 343i should implement an official Mythic/LASO difficulty for all games+achievements.

I did it on the OGXbox single player , I just felt relieved when it was all over .the jump between heroic and legendary is just massive personally ,I’d love to see it rebalanced as a mod in the future .
- Random checkpoint - Overpowered enemies - If you turn off Iron skull it s on however(coop) - Bungie creates the jackal sniper behaviour that shot alone, after decides to paste a jackal on it.

I’ve played it too! It’s so much more fun than Vanilla Halo 2, although the boss fights with the Heretic Leader and the Prophet of Regret are still extremely difficult on Legendary. I had to watch Hokiebird428’s Legendary walkthrough videos for the Vanilla version and the rebalance mod in order to find viable strategies for dealing with them.

Yeah I love Hokiebirds legendary walkthroughs helped me through many a tight spot , or showing alternate strategies to how I do things .

I know you said halo 3, but I’ve heard halo 4 has very poor AI and they won’t find you behind cover, is this true?

Yeah the AI isn’t terribly smart or intuitive but because of the weapon sandbox design, low ammo counts and the bullet spongy Promethean’s. H4 requires a much more methodical organised approach to combat whereas H3 most combat situations can be solved in a variety of ways making more it fun and in my humble opinion easier than H4.
