So I know the original game was like this, but there should really be an option to turn off the iron skull effects in Halo 2 Co-op on Legendary. All the other games allow the player to respawn on their partner after dying, but in Halo 2 it restarts at the checkpoint. It is really frustrating that it is different, it makes it way harder, defeats the purpose of having an iron skull at all, and my friends and I would really, really like to be able to turn that off.
And make Legendary completion a worthless, extremely easy achievement? Definitely not. Halo 2 is the only game where Legendary actually means something unless solo is specified. If you are incapable of it, then play Heroic.
…and turning on iron doesn’t do exactly the same thing…?
I see both sides of the argument. I think, though, that it would make sense to have it follow suite with the rest of the games and then have the Iron skull activate the responding, simply for a more seamless experience while playing.
While I agree that the extra challenge may be attractive to some people, my friend and I don’t want to spend 3 hours on one mission. Ain’t nobody got time for that.
