Halo 2 LASO Playlist Wiped. Please Help

I was on the level Regret. A friend and I stopped at the very end after his game crashed. Needless to say, when I returned after updating my game, the save was wiped and all progress was lost. My friend retained his progress, but my save seems to be gone. Is there any way for someone to restore what was lost? I put in nearly 24 hours worth of time getting that far, and don’t want to have to start over. If anyone can help, I would be very grateful. As a side note, every time I try to have him resume the playlist, it crashes the game. Fun times.

Same here. I was on the second to last level, and now I have to do all the hardest missions over again. This is completely unacceptable. I doubt they will do anything about it either.

There’s nothing you can do. I’ve been down this road before. They tell you to wipe your temporary data and see if that restores it. It doesn’t work. I’ve had my LASO H2 playlist reset on me twice now (both times the majority of the way through the playlist). I’m at the point where I’m fed up and don’t want to deal with it again. Sorry you guys have to go through this too.

343, a level select would go a long way. Please and thank you.

My best friend and I are noticing a similar issue with the Master Chief Playlist that encompasses all the games. We were a little over halfway done with Halo 2 when mysteriously it is forcing us to start the entire campaign over with Halo 1. Not sure if it is related to corrupt save or because of one of the newer updates- but we’re not able to resume from where we left off in the playlist. I thought it was possible to select a level from within the playlist itself but it seems to just show progress without being able to launch individual levels. Willing to provide video/pics/etc to help better illustrate this issue if necessary.

Would love some additional insight, troubleshooting steps, or a recommendation on how to proceed.

Sorry man I don’t think there is any way of recovering your game. My advice…

  1. play Local. People have reported not getting achievements because they weren’t host.
  2. do not resume the playlist from inside the playlist itself. Only resume from before you can see all the possible playlists to choose from.
  3. Hope 343 doesn’t release a content update. Sometimes that erases your progress in some playlists. The only way to avoid that completely is to avoid connecting your xbox to the net for the duration of your run. Not really an option for most.

Be assured this problem has been brought up many times mostly for LASO runs though (not only by me lol). I don’t think it will be addressed though, since multiplayer is used much more and generally is the bread and butter of halo gaming.

Sorry.
