I recently started the LASO campaign playlist for halo 2. I’m currently 8/15 missions through and got stuck on Regret. I got bored and did a separate playlist and when i came back to continue my LASO campaign (I knew I would have to restart Regret) and it sent me back to “The heretic” (first mission). it took me countless hours just to get to regret and i’m not redoing the whole playlist. it still says 8/15 but when i go into the playlist I get sent back to the beginning.
also, i hope it doesn’t reset the whole playlist. I don’t see why i cant just turn on the 14 skulls in campaign and have it work towards the LASO playlist. very frustrating and i really hope i dont have to redo the playlist. what a waste of 2 weeks of pain and agony…
please help…
Oh wow, if the seperate playlist you did was also under the H2 playlists I’m sorry to tell, but you have permanently lost your save.
The exact same thing happened to me on my H4 LASO playlist after I had completed shutdown I took a break to go do the H4 legendary playlist and when I came back I realized that I had lost my save. Unbelievably lucky for me I was playing the first 6 missions with 2 friends so I managed to get my save back via joining a friend and have him resuming his save of the LASO playlist.
The wording on the warnings are extremely misleading and suggest that when you start another playlist, when you come back to the first you will be put at the start of the current mission although in reality when you go back to the first playlist it puts you right back at the start.
The only possible way to get back to where you were without replaying the first 8 missions is if you join another player that is currently up to doing Regret on LASO like how I got my save back.
Really sorry to hear that happened to you, I know your pain.
It would take a while for me to get there, but if you had no intentions of replaying those first 8 missions and could wait a while I plan on eventually starting the H2 LASO playlist so when I got up to the mission Regret I could Invite you and load up the mission for you so you get your checkpoint back if you wanted, although that probably wouldn’t happen for a couple weeks.

This just happened to me. Outskirts and Metropolis weren’t all that hard but Cairo Station is something I really don’t want to repeat.

same thing happened to me, I lost all my LASO progress for everything… I think starting a playlist from a different game will also reset it and I have seen problems where recovering your account at a friends house will NOT carry over checkpoints and cause you to lose checkpoints as well.
I cannot understand, how difficult it seems to be, to make each savepoint for each playlist on each Halo!? You change the playlist and the warning says you have to restart the level, but in reality you have to restart the whole playlist!? Thats so fu**ing weird…
I completed the h2 LASO. But i Need Halo CE, 3 and 4.
