My friend and I have been attempting the LASO achievement and have finished H1 and have started H2. We fired up Halo 2 LASO and got to the last area (Cairo station) where you have to kill the group of elites and disarm the bomb. We died (surprise) and it reverted us to the very beginning. Not sure why since it is coop and prior to this restart, we had died and been reverted to other checkpoint saves. For some reason, the game restarted us back to the chief getting of the tram cut-scene. We were frustrated to say the least and had a few hours playtime on it. We then decided to just wait it out until two days ago where we went for round 2 (almost a year and a half has passed since the first attempt). We were doing good since we had a lot of practice from the first go around. We were quick to notice that sometimes checkpoints were not given to us where they normally would have been. We figured out a few factors and some may have been coincidence. Low/no shields, jumping, not being both in the same checkpoint area together etc. We were able to get every checkpoint and knew we did as we would die and be reverted back to the most previous checkpoints, The game also has a split second freeze/lag indicating it was check pointed. Again, we confirmed the checkpoints by dying and being reverted to those same freeze/lag spots. We were in the last room again on Cairo station attempting to kill the elites (second play-through) but the game suddenly white screened returning both of us to the game lobby. There was no internet connection issues, no warning messages on the screen and we were talking to each other the whole time. No connectivity issues whatsoever. The campaign only quits out unless the host quits or someone drops out of the game. We then resumed the playlist only to find the same nightmare, “You told me there wouldn’t be any cameras”. Yep. We were reverted back to the same checkpoint as the first play-through after three hours of playing. No progress save whatsoever. A slap in the face. Here is the weird part. I had a solo LASO playlist on Cairo station so I could practice a few strategies. I was at the part where " Master Guns" with the shotgun dies from the two elites in the armory. Its after the last boarding craft room. Keep in mind, I had not died yet on my solo save. Right after our 2nd time failed coop LASO play-through , I launched my solo LASO playlist. I was at the same “You told me there wouldn’t be any cameras” cut-scene!! I have not died yet! And even if I had, it would have restarted the entire mission. Not revert me to the first checkpoint. Recap. Halo 2 LASO COOP LIVE reverts back to the first checkpoint after ALL checkpoints have been confirmed “saved”. No connectivity issues. No error messages. Second time it has happened. Some sort of connection/interference between SOLO LASO and COOP LASO saves. It would be great if we could get credited a LASO playlist with Cairo Station marked completed. Wont happen but still. We are both a little sick of having to redo it especially for a third time. I did see a post on here saying that you can delete your local save data and run a cloud save but that was for a " bad checkpoint". We have not tried it yet. But I am open to any and all suggestions. We have been playing halo for years. Literally since we were in first grade, we are now 24. We will attempt it again but obviously am trying to prevent this from happening again.

After two years of trying Cairo on LASO, the game finally worked and let us through. However, I just found out that the first two missions( cutscene) are not credited through co-op. So we now have to restart because of issues with the game for the fifth time. We’ve spent around 20 hours just trying to get through Cairo. And we get to do it again. Yippee.
