Halo 2 is still here

Many of you are acting as if halo 2 is no longer playable, halo 2 vista servers are still up and active and with the recent increase in popularity servers are becoming more active. So grab your wired controller plug it in and download a free copy of halo 2 vista and get gaming, it plays almost the same as on xbox. Biggest differences no super bouncing no matchkmaking or ranks. There are still many players that remain competitive like myself.

if any of you decide to get H2V add me and we can game (iDos Jakweeezy) there are multiple clans which would love to see newcomers to the game.

Don’t forget the Halo 2 XBC is up too.

Halo 2: Vista is terrible. I play it from time to time, but let’s be honest here. There’s a reason why MS didn’t mention it again after release.

As for XBC… that’s a joke in itself. For someone like me who lives in Australia, it’s completely useless.

I get horrible button lag in Halo 2: Vista. I just can’t bear to play it

I have heard of some people buying xbox controllers that are specifically made for the pc so I guess they would be classified as pc controllers, these seem to display lag I just use the same controller as I used for my xbox with no issues. Also your computer may be the factor try turning the settings down to the lowest possible, I have a decent laptop & when I play h2v I project it onto a different screen aside from the laptop’s main screen as it plays better while projected. Try swapping between windowed and fullscreen to see which works better.

By no means is halo 2 vista a replica of the xbl version but it is the best that there is out there at the current time, majority of servers can host players from all over the world making gameplay more enjoyable there is 50+ servers find the one that runs the best for you. Also try hosting your own custom games someone will always join if you are running a popular gametype.

Halo 2 was an amazing game I wish they would simply load the original halo 2 setup onto the xbox 360 platform changing nothing glitches, cheats etc. It was a great game the chances of that are slim so its down to xbc or pc I personally find vista less laggy and more populated as it draws xbox/pc gamers together. All weapon glitches remain only super bounces and cheaters are eliminated. Cheaters are typically banned fairly quickly from servers especially from clan servers.

If anyone is looking for some competitive h2v please msg me I always try to get 4v4 mlg gametypes going on server host or player host, come enjoy the halo 2 experience again I played it from day one up until the last day of its rein over xbl I know just about everything about the game and have done everything. Lest make h2 popular my clan iDos is currently arranging a 1v1 tournament 100$ first place no fee to enter.

add me or any other iDos member we are friendly and always looking to expand and repopulate the h2 servers.

I use a wired xbox 360 controller

I run on a Dell XPS
-newer i7 - 2600 processer
-Nvidia Quadro FX1700
-8gb Ram

it also has windows 7 so dont think you need vista!

i play on a 27" Samsung with 1ms frame rate

Other than me having to put a FPS Limiter on my quadro to keep halo 2 running at like 60fps it works perfect!

> I get horrible button lag in Halo 2: Vista. I just can’t bear to play it

I thought I was the only one, I get that too.

Technically, Halo 2 will never be gone until the last disk is either destroyed or unplayable. And after that, you would still have all the pirates for both Xbox and PC, through torrents and other things. And furthermore, the memories it holds. Even if Halo 2 is physically gone, anybody who has played it, whether it be campaign, multiplayer, or some fun local games on the killtrocity map pack will remember it. And by remembering it, it will live on forever…

And also Halo 2 Vista and XBC, yes, those are also perfectly fine ways of playing it. If you cannot compromise, you might as well stop complaining. It won’t get any better.

This is not true at all in any walks of life. The only way to change things on this planet is to voice yourself, whether it’s complaints or just letting yourself be heard, if enough people make it clear as to what they want then there will be an H2 remake.

Say nothing and it’s taken as a sign that we are satisfied. Vista and XBC are not perfectly fine compared to Live to a lot of people but if you don’t say anything, MS will just put it on a shelf forever, since we are satisfied.

The squeaky wheel does indeed get the grease. Compromise is not part of the solution when you are a consumer, demand the best, that’s why we fork over our money.

Halo 2 Vista = bad port of Halo 2.
XBC and Kai = bad hosting… It is complicated to make and enter games and is hard to find games not against people from South America. So major lag occurs on a regular basis.

iDoS says as they host this… the server crashers themselves. What is h2v coming to?

Should I bother trying to play Halo 2? I also live in Australia.

I want to join the tournament, can you PM me about it?
Thanks

Please send link where I can download this game? I keep getting directed to MS and they have nothing.

Thank you.

Oh damn yeah!
Why not?
Would be as beautiful as Anniversary!
DO IT !!

It was a pain to get mine to run on Windows 7, and even when I did it was pretty slow. Not a satisfying experience.

Halo 2 Vista is not free or downloadable. You should be able to find it at a local store that sells PC games.
