Hey everyone. Last week I announced the discovery of a way to reproduce a rare glitch where the control of a player gets loaded into a dead body. This allows for the dead player to fall or travel anywhere in the maps and the normal living player can spawn with him. This is my first video showing how powerful this trick really is for near limitless exploration. Also this shows that it is possible in the original Halo 2 game on the first generation xbox console! No fancy MCC skulls needed.
On High Charity, once inside the Mausoleum tower there is a long drop to the floor inaccessible with all the other known tricks and covered by a death barrier right below where you normally pass through. Getting to that floor (also the green fog version of it in the next load zone) has never been completed all these years and I was able to do it using this elusive “dead and alive” glitch also known as a “corpse respawn”. This technique busts the game wide open for exploration as there are very few places a dead player can’t get to.
Thank you for watching, subscribe to my channel if you are into crazy trick and glitch videos, as I will be exploiting this technique getting to more new spots and I also have a long back catalog of videos to watch.

really interesting to find these things like what, 13 years later?

Yeah, I agree it’s weird. This happened randomly to people but nobody every figured it out. This spot is one of the last few places that seems like a known unexplored place and a big challenge. This technique changes everything and what it possible to do.

ever think we can find cut or places we were never meant to see with this?

There is alot to go over with that thought. There are lots of places hard to get to but entire maps where things were going to be used but end up being cut are uncommon or don’t exist. Usually if things are left in the game code they can be found by modders and loaded that way but there typically isn’t a hidden trigger, load zone, etc. to make it happen in the normal game. One rare example is the Cairo Station warthog I found, I have a few videos with it on my channel check it out.
What is doable through are few cutscene rooms. A friend and I are working on that. Sometimes after the start of a level, a livable space used in the cutscene is still loaded somewhere on the map, often in way off course locations. With this dead player thing, you can actually fall directly through solid geometry of the level and come out the other side. Not even the “void” space that will kill a living player ends the dead and alive guy. There will be some crazy stuff coming up for sure, there are cutscene rooms way below the normal areas that will be reachable with this.

well, i would like to wish you good luck on whatever endeavours you may go through, keep us updated OP
Nice man! Love finding new areas to explore in old games. Halo 2 probably has to be my favorite game to explore in!

Thanks! Definitely, H2 has such easy off map exploration with minimal effort and there are tons of hidden areas.
Do you know you can grenade + rocket jump back to the plateform above at the begining ? The large door up there isn’t locked.

For sure! It’s funny how that door opens to the blank background of the map.
