at least 3 times now the match ends abruptly. Twice it happened seconds after match began. Is this due to host quitting or something else?
I run into this problem on just about all the games from time to time. Playing a match of halo and all of a sudden the match ends arbitrarily before either the score or timer should have ended it. Just seems to be one of the many problems that still plague this frankenstein of a halo game. The game runs better now than it has so far, but it’s still a far cry from the working product we were promised at launch. It’s really depressing just how high the hype for this game was in hindsight…

Yes it is due to host quitting out or losing their connection and it’s not just on Halo 2, it’s all games in MCC. It happens all the time.
Yeah it happens in every game, not only in H2.
