Halo 2 for games on demand?

I’d really like to see Halo 2 for games on demand on xbox live and I’d be willing to pay $15-$20 on it. I mean, it’s a bit ridiculous that practically every Halo game is on games on demand except Halo 2. CE, 3, Halo Wars, ODST, Reach are all on games on demand and I really want to see Halo 2 to relive the days of Halo 2 and to complete my Halo game collection. Anyone else want to see Halo 2 on games on demand?

Please reply with your opinion, I would have made this a poll if this forum only supported that feature.

I feel the same way, my local Video store went out of buisness and there selling everything, I called them and asked them to hold Halo 2 for me. When I got there, it was already sold :frowning: . They should just remake it, Beta for Halo 5 !?

Couldnt agree with you more this game to me was the best in the series if CE had live then maybe. This game did so many things right they intergrated both factions into the campaign very well almost flawlessly in my opinion. The opening cutscene alone where Thel is being put on trial is the best opening to any game i have seen. Next Multiplayer was the best it had online clan support for people who liked clans which many people still do. Also it had the best weapons and maps and no stupid gimics like FF or AA’s.

To me H2 had more replay value then either H3 or Reach even with all the addictions they need to go back what made halo great and H2 did that.

FF is a gimmick? I thought it was a pretty cool addition to the game which will no doubt be integrated into future Halo games.

I didnt mean it to sound like that i love FF the point i was trying to make was that H2 had more replay value then Reach.

Campaign-wise yes. I don’t think Reach was really meant to be huge on campaign anyway, I thought it was more of an experimental multiplayer-based game. Allowing both Bungie and 343 to experiment with a new kind of multiplayer.

Would be cool to have a working dashboard and xbox360 achievemnets for the game.

It’s the only one left out from the 360 now since CE is coming back.

I would love to see a Halo 2 game on demand.
I love playing as the Arbiter.

Wouldn’t be so bad. All we would have needed is multiplayer and Achivements and we have a great game.

Hopefully it means they have something special planned for H2

Well, for a games on demand copy it wouldn’t exactly have matchmaking capabilities, but maybe they could figure out a way to do customs or something.

I’d rather see it remade or re-released on disc, with all of the map pack maps as well as the Halo 2 PC exclusive maps.

Servers like the Vista version maybe?

OR, if they ended up releasing H2 on Games on Demand, they could just put H2 servers back up… I’d probably die of excitement if that happened! But I know it probably wont… Sad day.

They never shut down “halo 2 servers” Microsoft shut sown original xbox live. Two completely different things. It also means it would have to be remade for 360 to have live again.

Halo 2 with it’s netcode at the time dampened the effects of all the hand holding game mechanics at the time, but if the netcode was upgraded to modern Halo netcode with Halo 2 mechanics all in place, I’d -Yoink- a brick. Everyone thinking they were good at they game would need to be hit with a large trout over and over.

Sorry guy… They shut down the ‘original xbox live’ servers then…

And if you wanna get technical, they could probably just make a port of H2 for xbox360… It wouldnt NEED an ENTIRE remake, like CEA. People would probably prefer the remake, but it would ‘have to be remade’.

they should just release it for XBLA instead of on demand, that way you can play multiplayer again

On demand? I’d rather see it as a arcade game, so that we could get achievements, and the return of it’s glorious ONLINE… looks above DARN IT SKY ACE, you stole my idea before I could even make one!

well CE is downloadable from live, it would be cool to see halo as an on-demand game so theres more gamerscore. Arcade games are limited to an overall 200g, while regular games go over 1000g.
