I just got halo 2, but when I start up the game, it says I need an Xbox hard drive to play the game. I have the 4gb model, so I’m not sure if it works on the 250gb model. Can anyone help me? Cheers
To play old Xbox games on an Xbox 360 like yours, you need an HDD (Hard drive) for it. These cost usually around a $100. Doesn’t matter if its 250gb or 325gb. I know this because I have the same type of 360 and was in the same situation. There is no cheap solution besides buying an original Xbox or getting Vista version.
If you’re lucky you can find a cheap 20 or 60 GB HDD at Gamestop used. It’s still going to run you a ridiculous $30 for a used 20 GB. Product Page.
EDIT: I just noticed you said slim. In that case you’re going to need to spend loads of money. -Yoink!- shouldn’t legally be able to sell 4GBs TBH. You could always buy a flashdrive. You can have up to 16 GB dedicated to xbox memory.
im not sure if you can do this but does any one know if you can put a laptop hard drive on xbox? im doubtful but i know you can do it on ps3 cause i know someone who got a 500 gb hard drive for only $100 and saved a crap ton.
Same problem with me, I have a hard drive and the same type on xbox but it still refuses to work… Rather heartbreaking:/
