I have spent the last three hours attempting to download this, and nothing has ended up working. In steam the game is stuck at the 20g download, claiming that 20 out of the 20 is downloaded. When that’s clearly a lie since when I’m in the game it says to check the boxes and install the game. But when I check the boxes and click accept, NOTHING HAPPENS. It puts me back at the menu and tells me to install the game. What gives? This hasn’t happened with any other update, I just want to play the game that everyone else is enjoying. Right now it seems like I’m paying for something that isn’t even remotely working.
I’m having the same fing issue. I think steam actually downloads it but then the game doesn’t recognize it as installed. I tried reinstalling the game 2 different times and it did not help. There are no solutions I could find anywhere online that work. This is extremely annoying and if steam refunds DLC I might refund it. Unless someone has an actual solution.
Edit: Why even have this forum when it’s sooooo useless. I managed to get the H2 campaign installed and I’m not even sure how. I started the download on steam, waited for it to finish, restarted steam, verified the integrity of cache, restarted steam, a 5gb download popped up, downloaded that, restarted steam, launched MCC and H2 Campaign was there, but the multiplayer is still missing. This is ofc after spending hours in a download loop and downloaded the full MCC twice with no success.
This is ridiculous 343. It’s honestly sad that I have had this issue with both H1 and H2. It should have been fixed after H1 and I still can’t fully play H2.
