halo 2 co-op malfunction

Whenever my friend and I play halo 2 co-op campaign together at a random point in the game we get split off into different co-op sessions yet stay in the same. On his screen I am there but either walking into a wall shooting randomly and doing nothing while in my screen I am doing the mission while his character does the same. We play on legendary so when I die it resets the checkpoint but not for him and vise versa.

Can I get some help here from a fellow MC fan to his community.

Well me and a friend have had trouble with this and another problem where if you play the game on legendary it’ll somehow just disconnect. We found a way to bypass this and could help with your problem. Stay in old graphics, load up the game in old graphics and stay in it the entire game and you shouldn’t have any problems.
