Halo 2 Clan System

This was one of the best things implemented in halo 2. It allowed the community to interact with each other and create a social competitive environment. I feel like this will really help grow the community to what it used to be back in halo 2.

BRING THE HALO 2 clan system back to Halo 4!!!

That is all

Bump if you agree!

yes!! i used to love this system. i would love to see a return.

It’s already been said that clan systems are not making a return. If they did, we would’ve seen footage of it by now.

Welcome to Waypoint you two.

Would be so nice .

With all the new stuff halo is getting why not add a classic that many loved.

Instead of the Halo 2 system how about 343 bring in a new clan system far more superior with a lot of new stuff

They could do it. i mean think about it they could develop a system through the Waypoint App. It would be really nice to see them at least give it a try as a beta type deal to see how it would play out.

Thank you for the warm welcome! They haven’t released any footage of theater mode yet in Halo 4 but we all assume that it will be in the game. So only one can hope that possibly they went back to their old ways with incorporating a clan system

I totally agree man, thank you for your input

Of course, I basically mean to just bring back the “idea” of the clan system in halo 4

Well there’s “groups”, however that’s gonna be like. I had halo 2 but never played online, so i’m not familiar with the system you’re talking about. I assume it was just another friends list.

Basically, it was like another friends list yes. But it would allow the whole clan to keep up with who was in their clan because whenever someone was added to the clan they would automatically be on the clan list. Allowing everyone to have a large group of people always available to play with who wasn’t on their friends list.

I heard that it’s not possible on Xbox Live, on the Xbox 360. :S

Welcome to Waypoint.

I am not sure why it wouldn’t be possible through the 360…

sounds like a pretty good idea to me!

I heard people talk about how it isn’t designed to handle an internal F/L or something like that.

I really think that they would be able to come up with something to incorporate somewhat of a “clan system” other than tags still.

I want it and more

> I want it and more

Amen

I know that clans were great, and that at one point, they had an overwhelmingly positive effect on the Halo community…

But these days, I’ve almost never heard a single positive word about clans from people that have been in them. I’ve heard about plenty of backstabbing, jealousy, abuses of authority, secretive discrimination, gossiping, emotional manipulation… But all the unity and teamwork and camaraderie that people remember from the Halo 2 days – I’ve not heard of that happening in any clan these days. Even the big-name clans seem to be filled with strife – they just have good-enough PR people to hide the fact.

Maybe there’s a side I’m not seeing, but based on what I am seeing, I don’t think that official clan support would be a good idea.

No. There’s a reason people post “lolclans.” They just aren’t that great. I’ve been invited to so many. My general opinion is as follows:

“Hey, join my clan. You can obey my every command, change your motto, bio, emblem, and gamertag. You’ll have to use your own money for that. Oh, yeah, your service tag, it has to be the same as everybody else. Yeah, it makes us look legit.” When I ask them how they call out they usually ask me what a call out is.
