Microsoft Support have directed me to contact 343 directly as my Halo 2 PC CD Key has stopped working, I have a service request number where do I send it?

you might want to do some online searching. a few months ago i was thinking of trying to get halo 2 pc and when i did a google search i clicked on i think was the games home page and at the bottom it stated that online multiplayer support/ servers would shut down july 17. when i saw this i gave up on the idea of getting it. of course if your just taking about playing the game offline then i don’t know anythning about that.

I’m just trying to get my last Legendary Achievements before the Master Chief Collection is released.
I’ve managed to get something sorted a good friend let me use their CD key as they haven’t touched the game in years. Seems to work fine for both Single and Multiplayer, sure there is only 40 odd games going but just managed a quick round.
I think it is BS that Microsoft send you here for answers when 343i never sold the game and took over the game well after the H2 Servers were turned off and its a game for Windows too…

That’s surprising that MS wanted you to contact 343, I thought MS owned the IP. At least you got your issue fixed.
Microsoft needs to find another way to verify that you own Halo 2 PC without any product keys, that or extend the number of times it can be installed on your current computer. I for one don’t ever plan on installing mine on another computer, ever, but what if I need to reinstall it on the same machine? It’s an issue alright.
