Halo 2 Campaign results randomly not uploading

I don’t know how often this one goes reported, it seems to have been around since launch. Makes me wonder if the devs are even aware of it. I’m not sure if they read these threads, but I’m just posting this here anyway, maybe it’ll contribute to this eventually being fixed. Here’s hoping someone takes notice.
Sometimes, when completing a mission in Halo 2 (and it’s exclusive to Halo 2), your time and score seem to fail to upload correctly. (If you check the service record on Halo Waypoint, it’ll say a time of “1:40:39” and a score of “—”, the scores and times will also not appear in the in-game leaderboards.)
Now, I don’t particularly care if my scores don’t make it in the leaderboards, or if they don’t show up in the service record.
However, when this happens it has the added side-effect of voiding the achievements related to par score, par time, the monopolized achievement and possibly the ones for completing the entire campaign on their respective minimum difficulty levels. This is especially painful when trying to get monopolized, given the sheer insanity of that achievement.
There is a theory floating around that it has to do with save/quitting and reloading the level while in its final loading zone.
I can, however, confirm that theory to not be true (at least not entirely), since I once left during the fight against regret and retried it later. That run went recorded in both leaderboards and on here, as well as giving me the par score achievement.
Additionally, I have seen a good amount of reports from people on various websites who did not save/quit/reload at any point during their mission, and still faced this issue.
That said, I’m not ruling out that save/quitting increases the chances of this happening, but it does not seem to be the sole cause of the bug.

I’m currently in the process of attempting monopolized, and it seems to be random luck whether or not the results even make it. It takes hours and hours to get a good time on legendary (given that, for monopolized, not even par time is a good enough result), even with all the speedrunning tricks. I’ve lost several decent results this way. Very frustrating.

Sup dude,

I understand your frustration.
Unfortunately fixing a game doesn’t pay.

But do not worry, some REAL Halo fans, speedrunners, have created a website for the halo speedrunning community
Look for haloruns

I’m advertising again, I can’t help myself.

You’ll find videos and a (fully working and official) leaderboard for all halo games (fps that is) including world records of course.

It’s free, no ads, has a forum, a wiki… I mean wtf it really doesn’t get better then that !

Anyway, see you
