Recently me and my friends decided to run through all of the Halo campaigns on legendary in chronological order before Halo: Infinite, that is, until we got to Halo 2. Halo 2’s legendary mode co op has a feature where when one of the players dies it restarts both characters at checkpoint. The thing is, as any who have completed Halo 2’s campaign on legendary know, it’s unfathomably hard. I realize an argument that will likely be thrown against me is “Just get good!” And fine, there’s a margin of truth to that, but Halo 2 already has by far the hardest campaign and when this mechanic of respawning after one death is added, it turns the campaign to lunacy. For people who don’t have 8 hours a day to sink in to this, this goal is now quite unreachable. Is there a way where that mechanic could be switched off? Thanks.
Hey OP - this actually isn’t a bug, it’s how Halo 2 legendary has always been on co-op. It’s pretty brutal I know, but the effects of the Iron skull are enabled and can’t be turned off. There are a ton of guides out there on running Halo 2, might be worth checking out some speedrun tactics
