Hi all.
Halo 2 Campaign Online Co-op does not work. More specifically, it hasn’t worked for me and my friend as of the 14th of April, which was when we first started the campaign and were only able to complete the first mission (Cairo Station). Since then it constantly “Loses connection” or crashes the game during the LOADING screen when you start the mission. We thought it might be internet issues on our end but after multiple tests and attempts we have found it to be an issue with Halo 2 and not with us.
And it is a problem with Halo 2 specifically. Halo CE works fine in online Co-op and so does Halo 3 and Halo 4. It’s Just Halo 2 that doesn’t want to work. This is extremely frustrating as you can imagine, especially since it’s my friend’s first time playing it and we are going through the games in order as a sort of story play-through.
If anyone out there has encountered this issue then please make it known here. If anyone has had this issue but found a way to fix it then please reply too.
343 please make this a priority in bug fixing. I can’t even play the game I payed for.

We also encountered this issue. We managed to get into Cairo station but got stalled again at Delta Halo. It wont load and it just boots one or both of us out saying we lost connection. Getting real tired of this sorry excuse for a game.
It seems to have to do with the larger maps in Halo 2 i guess. We are going to play Delta Halo separately and then try to hook back up on the other side at the next level and see if that helps anyway.

Seems random when Halo 2 wants to let you play co-op. It’ll load for awhile and then one of us gets the MCC screen and kicked back to main menu.

I’m pretty upset about this too. Same problem. My friend hadn’t played The Maw on Halo CE, and so we played it fully expecting to go on and complete the Halo 2 campaign immediately after. It didn’t work. I was so upset and let down. My friend was too. He literally bought the game after I convinced him to, and he couldn’t even play the campaign… Kinda pathetic in my opinion how they haven’t fixed it. They need to.
