IDK if this has been brought up in the past, or if it’s against the rules to post this but here I go.
Am I the only one interested in a Community game mode that uses Halo 2 BR and the removal of sprint, spartan charge, thruster packs ect. and just have a good old slayer match like the good old days?
That would be awesome. The only issue is how well it would play with hitscan but who knows?
I’ve been hosting a custom game like once a week for the past 3 weeks with settings I changed myself to match classic Halo gameplay, Halo 2 BR included, (Still use Halo 5’s BR a good amount as well), on either a ton of great Forge remakes, or even unique, original maps. It’s definitely a fun time, and I would love a supported matchmaking playlist.

Eh the halo 2 br has way too much aim assist.If you’re looking for a classic playlist I recommend the evolved settings.If you think there’s something better I can guarantee you’re wrong.
A BR playlist will never work in Halo 5 without drastic changes to the player traits (something we know will never happen for a matchmaking playlist) so can we please stop beating this dead horse and stop asking for these kind of playlists?

Hah NO! I don’t want to see a Halo 2 BR Playlist before the Halo Community gets a Slayer Pro Playlist. With standard BR and magnum, two human grenades, normal weapons on map, and NO MOTION SENSOR. If you want a Halo 2 ANV BR Starts then play SWAT or go to custom games with you on red team and your friend on blue team and wait for more people to join. But if that doesn’t satisfy you then go play MCC and go to the Halo 2 (pc version) Playlist or go to the Halo 2 ANV Playlist if it’s still there. I personally have never like the BR in the old Halo games because it was always OP compared to all the other weapons and I wish it wasn’t in Halo 5. That weapon should only be in warzone and custom games because its op in every way and I wish 343 would take it out of Arena MM.

Set it up in customs… I recently played a map that was H3s construct and it had H2BR starts and no abilities. It was pretty fun.

Yes… 343 won’t and can’t cater to all the different play style request. But that is why there is a custom game browser.
Just replace the dumb looking/sounding H5BR with the H2BR I’d say
