Halo 2 BR and Needle Carbine?? Thanks 343!

Just watched the new Infinity’s Armory preview and am kind of excited to play with the new weapons. Especially the Halo 2 BR. Does anyone know if it just a different weapon model with the classic BR sight or does it actually play a bit differently? I had heard rumors that we’d be getting some variation of the Needle Rifle from Reach and was hoping we’d get a visual update of that actual weapon instead of a reskin of the Carbine but I bet it will be a lot of fun to play with regardless. The idea of a Needle Carbine is kind of cool.

Hoping the H2 BR is in both Arena and Warzone. It looks super crisp

Agreed, I hope they spread a few around the Arena maps too. I’m really looking forward to playing with it a bit

I am just curious on what makes it legendary, other than the fact it is an iconic Halo weapon.

Perhaps a req 1 or 2 in Warzone to use at the start of games like H2 had BR starts all the time. 3 shot? So many questions!

Has it been confirmed to be legendary? If so I would guess that it must be in some way more effective than the standard BR. I had assumed that it would be added to the loadouts and would just be slightly different

Yeah that was my impression too. Hopefully that little scene wasn’t just for the trailer

Right? One of the carbines is fully automatic! The other has armor piercing needles and will supercombine. That means it will be great against infantry and vehicles! It’s going to be legit! And the Halo 2 BR is so sweet! It’s so nostalgic!

Ok, I get it now. Seems like it is a Legendary unlock but is a Loadout, not a Power Weapon. Which means that it’s not going to be super over powered, but will probably function slightly differently in some way than the standard BR. All in all a good addition, hope I get one soon

I think the BR is going to be the actual H2 BR. Look, sound, damage, range, so on. The Carbine looks great too. I’m excited to try it out.
