Halo 2 beam rifle

Of all the posts I’ve seen, no ones mentioned the halo two beam rifle, why and what are your thoughts on it? I personally like the design better, so yeah.

i read br as battle rifle :confused: yeah, design is better imo. for both cases. halo 2 battle rifle sounds soooo much better as well.

Oops, it does, I agree, however I like the strips on the 343 Battle rifle, there needs to be a skin with two strips for the halo two BR. Like green ones.

Wow… I honestly couldn’t even remember what that weapon looked like until I googled it. Man… some weapons have just faded into the past in the Halo franchise XD
I can’t wait to give it a go once more!

I’ve seen other posts mentioning the H2 Beam R, maybe not a full topic of it, but it talks about all the reqs.

I like it and the alpha and delta variants but personally I would have preferred the brute shot. It could have its own stance and assassination.

I think virtually both have the same stats,but 343i has made a good job in weapon ballance, so I’m confident that they’ll find a way to distinguish one of another, but I like more the design of the original it looks badass.

Meh, didn’t want, didn’t need. The sky is the limit when adding additional reqs.

I can see some arguments of ‘lazyness’ but they did just add two brand new things in the wasp and grunt mech…

Yeah it was a let down they removed that weapon

It’s unconventional look is what gives it its identity.

That’s what lacks in newer covie weapons. Many of them look designed-by-humans-for-humans. Sangheili grips were really wonky in Reach, but worked perfectly for them. Not for us though- which is exactly how it should be.

H2 beam rifle is pretty snazzy looking. Would be cool if they added skins for all the AR variants throughout the franchise.

Brute Spiker should work like current smgs with a small lunge weaponized melee
Sentinel Beam, Sticky Detonator, Focus Rifle would be for shenanigans in customs and be lower end reqs like level 3 and under
Spike Grenades should stick to walls and surfaces unlike plasma grenades
Needle Rifle as originally designed, not a carbine doing a half impersonation
Flame Thrower would work wonders with suppression of doorways
Missile pod would be the foot anti-vehicle turret with unbreakable lock on

i REALLY dont see how no one else wants the halo 3 spartan laser to make a comeback. more battery/shots. less zoom, smaller center for more accurate shots.
something about the oldschool halo 3 laser felt just right, it might be that the added sprint and the thrusters that make it feel like its not as good as it was before, or ive just lost my touch. i remember back in halo 3 i could easily hit all 5 shots, now with the new laser i have to really be careful and smart about my shots in order to contact all of them.
