Why doesnt the Halo 2 beam rifle not count twords the beam rifle commendation?

Different model of beam rifle?

I don’t know, might have been something 343 overlooked?

Maybe because it’s a different weapon. Sure, it’s still a beam rifle, but it’s still a different weapon by coding, so it wouldn’t affect the h5 beam rifle kills

Basically this. To the game its a different gun. Same with the two rocket launchers, though in that case they both have commendations.

must work like how the spnkr rocket has a different commendation compared to the halo 5 rockets…343 just being lazy here imo, we really shud get a h2 beam rifle and hammer commendation added to weapon mastery.

If 343 wanted it to count for the Halo 5 BR only, then it should say Halo 5 Beam Rifle commendation.
