I opened up a gold pack and got me a halo 2 battle rifle i was excited but my game froze and i restarted it then my halo 2 battle rifle was not there any more

I am very outraged

Try doing a hard reset of your console - that involves completely switching it off and unplugging the power. Switch everything on after about 30 seconds and then have a look through your inventory.

Did you look at your loadouts? It should be listed under its own category just below the DMRs.
