Halo 2 Anniversary?

Heres the article
http://www.oxm.co.uk/57066/microsoft-discussing-halo-2-anniversary-downplays-talk-of-2014-release/

basically their making a Halo 2 Anniversary but not focusing on the money making aspect

What do you want to see in Halo 2 Anniversary?

Where does this flat out say Halo 2 Anniversary is in development and we are looking for suggestions?

I don’t see any confirmation that it absolutely will happen…

my bad I guess I didn’t read it thoroughly enough. even so it shows that there is a Halo 2 anniversary under consideration, which is more intel on the subject than we’ve gotten in a while.

I don’t even care about getting multiplayer. I would love to just play the campaign with updated graphics.

Please don’t say that. You’ll give 343i ideas.

WHY WOULD YOU POST SUCH A MISLEADING TOPIC?! Seriously. You just raised my hopes and shattered them into a thousand pieces. I really hope Halo 2 Anniversary is actually confirmed soon…

To play H2 Campaign Co-op on LIVE with a much better netcode than CE, best thing ever!

> To play H2 Campaign Co-op on LIVE with a much better netcode than CE, best thing ever!

I wouldn’t bet on it having better netcode. If they go down the same route as CEA and just slap fancy graphics on top of the original engine, then you’ll be using the same netcode as 2004.

Well it’s nice to know there talking about it but it certainly prove’s there not saying no the idea.

Anyway here’s a quote because it confirm’s that it’s possible but it doesn’t confirm that it’s happening right now but maybe in the future:

““I’ll be open,” Spencer told IGN. “We have discussions about it. It’s more about the right time and making sure that we really would do the right thing for the franchise.””

Actually it be a little better since one of the excuse’s for CE netcode was that it was originally designed for online due to lack of Xbox Live for the game while Halo 2 was designed for online gameplay so it should work a bit better, ok it might not be perfect but it will be a bit better since it was designed for the general purpose of online, with the new cloud like they claim it would help game’s performance (Not sure on the cloud part since I’m skeptical about the stuff Microsoft claim)

OP, I edited your title for this thread. In the future, please think a little more carefully before misleading people. There has been zero confirmation whatsoever. All articles are merely speculation, and should be treated as such.

Never even thought of that, good shout.
