All these famous Halo quotes came from Halo 2, along with the base for Xbox Live’s epic gameplay and the basis for most shooters. Look at CoD, they refused to create an online multiplayer like the ones at that time, they went and made the one where you could make nearly no custom options to your choice of online play. Playlists with pre-set gametypes and maps instead of servers that you could choose the game-type and map. Look at a lot of FPS’s these days. The roots go back down to Halo 2. I think if your going to pick the best Halo and bring it back to glory, it should be this one. After HCEA is done and Halo 4 is done, they should revive the online play and long, epic, enjoyable campaign moments of Halo 2. Lots of Halo fans were lost to CoD and many players were dissapointed when it went offline forever, and those fans will come back to the game that started the console online play in the first place.
They might make a anniversery in a few years…maybe. But its own online would never happen. It would either run off the halo 4 system or onto the halo 5 system.
Please stop making these threads, these pop up almost everyday and we get it… PEOPLE WANT H2 ANNIVERSARY.

PLEASE NO. Halo doesn’t need 30 filler games in between each big title. I don’t want Halo to become the cash cow that is CoD.
There is no need to be honest, they would patch glitches in Multiplayer.
Now I don’t care what anyone else says here, the button glitches, super bounces and everything else is what made Halo 2 such a success.

Not to mention the “re done” controls for the 2 Zelda and Starfox games

I agree man. These threads are getting kind of annoying and redundant, IMO.
But, I don’t think Halo 2 should be remade. Unless it’s 10 years from now, on Halo’s 20th anniversary. If they do a remake every 2-3 years, it’s gonna get old fast. Remaking Halo:CE is as far as it needs to go. They’re doing it to celebrate 10 years of Halo. They’re remaking Combat Evolved to celebrate the anniversary of a franchise. How come now that they’re remaking one Halo everyones already looking ahead at a Halo 2 remake? Halo:CEA hasn’t even been released yet!
Honestly, I’m more focused on Halo 4 and what the new trilogy’s gonna be like. I could care less if they remake Halo 2or Halo 3 in the future, as long as the new Halo trilogy kicks -Yoink-. Which I’m already thinking it will (and we’ll see soon… Well, fairly soon.)
If their not going to remake it they should at lest for a limited time have Halo2 put up for free download on pc and xbox marchetplace. Also why is it on Games for Windows Live Marchet Place there is no purchase button on Halo 2? I would love to buy the game for pc but that is not happening without that button.
