Halo 2 Anniversary will Release This Year

If not for one simple reason.

The fact that know NOTHING on “Halo 5”. It’s not even a confirmed name. Remind me again, when was the last time a game was coming out a few months later, yet there wasn’t even a confirmed name for the title. There is no hype for this game at all outside of this community, and if Halo 5 is 343’s big redemption, they aren’t doing well at marketing. Hell, we knew more about Halo 4 at this time.

There already is a large discussion about this topic going on right now, but I’ll still debunk your idea (laughs evilly)

While it is true that 343i has not named the title, which makes this occasion different from past prerelease periods, that doesn’t necessarily indicate that the final game won’t end up being Halo 5.

The way I see it, 343i is leaving the final name of the title ambiguous to help set up a massive hype train. What they’re doing right now is laying grease on the tracks by starving us of all information so that when they do the final reveal, the hype is far larger.

Also, since Microsoft is obviously going to use Halo as a sale-tipper for the Xbox One, having the first Halo title on the console being a remake won’t attract the amount of numbers that Microsoft wants. Halo CEA sold only 1.6 million copies; compared to the numbered titles, those are poor sales.

The only real way for Microsoft to truly sway the market into the Xbox One through Halo is by releasing a main title: Halo 5. A spin-off title, no matter how good or great it is, will never generate the same amount of sales.

What a better way to drive sales than waiting to release Halo 5 when it’s good and polished. Release it with a console bundle, for a cheaper price. I’m sure the XB1 will be cheaper by 2015. Drop a nice Halo bundle and get some fans to buy the XB1. Also, please the crowd of Halo vets, with H2A. Either way, nearly all signs point to H2A. It’s coming… You better brace yourself.

The Halo journey begins in 2014, and it’s not Halo 5, read more below.
