Halo 5, since it is fun and competitive. Halo 2 is too competitive to have super amounts of fun.

“Up to par” with the other Halo’s or not, H2A was in my opinion what Halo 4 should have been. As for Halo 5, I haven’t really decided yet. I need to play more of the beta before I can say for sure. But I can say that I liked H2A and so far, Halo 5 isn’t “terrible”.

This is kind of where I’m at. I just feel as though the new spartan abilities are gimmicky and really aren’t adding value to the game-play. Maybe it’s just because I’m a bit conservative towards the Halo 2 style of play, because it was simple yet sophisticated, but Halo 5 seems like a step forward from Halo 4. But still has too much going on it it to be as fun as Halo 2A.

HALO 2 ANNIVERSARY IS BETTER THAN HALO 5 BETA FOR ONE REASON:

DUAL WIELDING

I know people have said, and are going to continue to say, that Halo is naturally going to change/evolve and add things we aren’t used to. I also know that 343 wants to deviate a bit from the “traditional Halo formula” so that it can be their Halo. But like you said, I feel like the new Spartan moves are gimmicky and I also feel that 343 added them just for the sake of change. I like how Sprint is more balanced, and I don’t mind the sideways-thruster-strafe, but the hovering and ground-pounding just feels plain weird. I’m sure there’s cool moves and situations where those can be used strategically, but I found them to be more of an annoyance than something that benefited gameplay in the games I’ve played so far

Guardians because H2A’s constant lag spikes make it unplayable.

I mean I was going more from a gameplay perspective. But yes, lag will make a game suck too.

Hard choice, H2A’s autoaim is insane, and the BR is godlike at all distance. But the AR/SMG in Halo 5 is godlike in close/mid range.

Prolly H2A, at least precision weapons still dominant. It’s what Halo’s all about. ARENA shooterssssss

I like halo 5 better because I feel its more fast paced. I like kinds of games with more action going on. And the graphics/art style is amazing.

H2A depends too much on me getting lucky and finding a good team. If I didn’t, I’d lose and my rank dropped.
In H5, I can still play and do well even if my teammates are clueless.
I went 22-7 earlier even though we lost, barely lost SR rating.

You see this doesn’t make any sense to me. I personally enjoy H2A’s ranking system because it’s honest in that the teams get matched most evenly, even if that means you are way better than your teammates.

Halo 5, no doubt

I think H5’s ranking system will work fine in retail once there is a larger pool of players that have played enough games for placement. I could see this beta just focuses on the gameplay itself and not so much the matchmaking yet. Hence why we only have 2 maps and Slayer right now… I do wish that the phases of your placement would show up under the symbol (Gold I, Onyx II, etc).

But on topic. Halo 5 is quickly replacing Halo 2 for me.

Well right now its hard to make the decision since H5 beta only has 2 maps and no BTB. H2A has BTB. I do like that H5 has sprint so that gets a vote for me along with many other nice features. Just hoping they add BTB so I can cast a much more accurate vote. Since most of my Halo live is in BTB.

H5 because H2A has the most aim assist of any Halo game. H2A requires almost no individual skill.

This is a tough one. I wanna say Halo 5 but I really like Halo 2 Anniversary. Fortunately, once Halo 5 launches we’ll still have all the others, so everyone should be happy.

If Halo:MCC worked as promised, Halo 2 Anniversary is far more fun. And the fact that there is a debate over Halo 2 mechanics running on the Halo 4 engine bring more fun than Halo 5 should sound the alarm.

343, the people in your company demanding certain changes and saying the sandbox can’t be changed… they’re going to cost you your jobs. Go back to what made your brand special. And if you ignore the complaints for a year after a beta intended for significant feedback, you’ll really harm the community’s numbers.
