Yes! Yet another instance in which I have been jipped out of a full soundtrack. RIGHT OFF THE BAT we can see that the Halo 2 Anniversary Soundtrack is missing music from it, music that was in the game, and yet for some reason, they decided not to put it on the soundtrack release. My first example is the tram ride/first cairo cutscene music. On the original soundtrack, it was included in “Cairo Suite” but on the anniversary soundtrack, it appears to be missing altogether, among other tracks. This is a shame. And, with no indication of a “volume 2”, I am severely disappointed.

I just purchased the soundtrack and found there was a considerable amount of content missing that was included in the original and remastered versions of the game, not to mention the fact that File Share in The Master Chief Collection is basically unusable and that Armor Customization is dominantly set as default. But for now we’ll focus on the soundtrack.
I’m not sure if 343 is purposefully holding us back on the complete experience, or if they are simply being arrogant. But there’s no doubt these problems persist because of something they are ignoring or are oblivious to. I’m not sure if you noticed but there was also a considerable amount of musical content that appeared in Halo 4 but did not appear in either of the Halo 4 Soundtrack Volume’s. I’ll post a link to that below.
In my opinion, I think 343 Industries is either not fully operational enough to accomplish all of their goals, or is just simply blind to the little details that need attention. I still love 343 undoubtedly for continuing the Halo franchise, but I’m starting to question the effectiveness of their work. I just hope this is all sorted soon.
(All of these tracks have been recorded directly from the game, so a few of them are low quality because they had to be edited due to dialogue and sound over the top. Otherwise this guy did an outstanding job in putting it all together. It would have been much easier, though, if 343 had just released this music in the first place:)
The most glaring omission is the lack of the track called “Unyielding” in the original soundtrack, and the Delta Halo theme. Seriously, how they could forget to include the second Halo theme in a soundtrack for the second Halo game is beyond me.That said, I’m really not sure why this is posted in the Support forum, it really doesn’t belong here.
I’m really annoyed that they didn’t do a Ghosts of Reach remastered. That was one of the best songs from halo 2, along with Unyielding, Prologue, and Earth City.
Have there been any updates on this? I’d love to dl those extra tracks
They didn’t forget. Certain tracks had to be omitted due to re-licensing issues so they couldn’t get permission to use those tracks. And don’t blame Bungie. 343 has to get consent from every entity for each piece of music content in order to use it.
