Halo 2 Anniversary’s multiplayer shouldn’t be halo 4 or reach’s multiplayer. It should just have a remade multiplayer with better graphics, all the weapons from all halo games, forge, firefight, elite/spartan customization, original ranking system, challenges, no armor abilities only halo 4’s sprint, trip mines, bubble shield, that other stuff from halo 3, fire grenades, spike grenades, and that’s it. Agreed? And plus all the maps from original halo 2 should stay. They were fun! Oh yes!! Of course, dual wielding should stay.
I seriously couldn’t agree more with you. I don’t want 343 to make the mistakes with Halo 2 anniversary like they did with Halo 4.
I think everyone wants a remake of h2. just how it was. will it happen no. why. because 343 doesnt listen.

I’m glad that everyone has come to the conclusion that 7 maps from Halo 1/2 remade into Reach was crap. Halo 2 Anniversary should have its own multiplayer with ALL of the maps remade INCLUDING DLC. Then people might actually want to play it. EDIT: Oh and if they don’t put dual wielding in, I’m going to get my mighty army of gingers (which includes me) and stab them all to a lifeless pulp. Better do it right 343. 
If a Halo 2 anniversary is announced, I will cry and punch a hole in my wall out of sheer happiness. If they announce it with the original multiplayer, I will freeze in my chair and not move for weeks. By the time I do move, I will be jumping around and screaming all around my front yard until it comes out.
In my opinion, halo 2 was the best halo. I would love to see a remake, but it will never happen. This could be considered one of the greatest wrongs in history…

I hope you are wrong but all we can do is keep rattling the cage with our tin cups. Maybe they’ll do it just to shut us up, lol.
Don’t get me wrong, I love Halo 2 multiplayer. But it is hands down the Halo game with the most issues (in multiplayer). Sword flying, ghosting, standbying, modding, button glitches (BXR and so on), MASSIVE aim-assist (sweep-sniping, anyone?), superbouncing, and maps you can get out of easily. And while it’s true that some things like the button glitches and superbouncing can be done by everyone, it’s ridiculous to expect everyone to do it just because you technically can. Because then the game isn’t about who’s the better shot or which team has the better teamwork, but who can pull off these glitches faster and more consistenly.
Halo 2 had the best multiplayer out of all the games from that Universe. Handsdown. If you were good you ranked up and left the -Yoink- players behind. You were always playing people at your skill level. If you lost twice you dropped a rank then you had to win three games to jump back up a rank. It was by far the hardest ranking system and 343 needs to resort back to that. I can’t believe how watered down ranking is now. It has literally gotten worse on every Halo since 2.
As for the glitches, those just added to the excitement, if you ask me. There would be huge custom game parties on Headlong with 18 people superjumping to the top of the map. -Yoink- was fun. If you sucked at superjumping you could sword lunge. Everyone knew how to double shoot so it’s not like that affected ranking. Standby was a joke. Every once in a while you’d join a game where people were doing that, but did quitting a game back then didn’t even effect ranks? I don’t believe it did. All of that would obviously be resolved in the Anniversary version.
I for one, would really dig it, if 343 could remake the game that put Halo out there in the online console gaming world. How awesome would it be to play on Backwash, Beaver Creek, Burial Mounds, Colossus, Desolation, Headlong, Ivory Tower, Relic, Terminal, Turf, Tombstone, Water Works, and Zanzibar again? Remember team work back then? Everyone had mics because working together was important. What about Clan Matches? Bring that -Yoink- back.
WO WO WO, you want equipment, AAs, sprint, all halo weapons??? i thought you want original mp. No i think that everything should be the same except graphics. they should also add the switch between old and new function (just not online in mp, it would be to laggy) and also add some extra features like theatre, but absolutely nothing that changes gameplay or its not halo2!! just like cea using reaches engine was the dumbest thing you could think of and a horribly awful idea, making 343i’s first impressions extremely amateur.
It could be cool, I guess, i disagree with some of your points there, namely mixing all the halos together in a remake. I think it’s more likely that 343 would basicly do what they did with halo CEA.
If this did happen… I want it just the way it was. It doesn’t even have to be in HD. Actually they should just turn the servers back on for it and I’ll throw in my OG copy of it right now and dust off the old CRT to play it on…
im glad there are normal people out there that realize how good of a game Halo 2 was… yes bring back the multiplayer pleassseeee remake all the maps i want to play lockout i want water works i want foundation i want midship, come on 343 think of the money you can make i would seriously pay 200+ for a solid remake with good multiplayer or on another note xbox grow a -Yoink- and bring back xbox live to xbox originals, it can’t be that hard to bring support back… i hate the people in charge of the decisions… makes me -Yoinking!- sick, look how -Yoink- all the maps have been since h3 besides the pit, please don’t give us maps that make me feel like I’m playing battlefield please don’t give me more and more forge maps to play that look like -Yoink-.
Honestly, wouldn’t it be easier to slap on a some new graphics with a new engine powering the game and release it? It would save so much more time, money, and effort than trying to re-amp the gameplay! Plus, that’s what the halo community wants. 343 would make more money and build their credibility if they just released the same game (with halo 2’s EXACT multiplayer) and a few dedicated servers!
Why would any of you even want 343 to make an anniversary edition of halo 2, If you can’t understand, they can’t possibly make a decent remake, they will take something incredible and destroy it. 343 doesn’t deserve to make any money from destroying something. They have had 3 tries already and miserably failed each time, in my opinion 3 chances is plenty

I had heard the same, BUT I still do blame 343 because they had every right to refuse but instead fell in line with it. I have said this many times before, the Halo 4 multiplayer is good, but it’s not a good HALO multiplayer, it is a Halo/COD hybrid. When they remake Halo 2, the story should stay the same, maybe we could play the lost levels though. I want my elites back, I want my dual wielding back. No loadouts, no sprint, no guns that weren’t in Halo 2 before, no equipment (bubble shield, shield regenerator, etc.), and for the love of God, bring back the old scoring system. One kill=one point. 25-50 points in a match, unless it’s capture the flag or grifball in which case there should be 3-5 points in a game. I want Halo 2 in all of it’s former glory.

I want all of this… Problem is, 343i is in it for the money, then again if this releases on Xbox One only then maybe they are just plain stupid. They could make so much profits from Halo 2 Anniversary if it hits both systems because there are a majority of players who haven’t/don’t want to convert systems. I don’t care if 360 gets Halo 5 or not, but we deserve Halo 2 Anniversary.
