I really do hope that 343 makes the right decision to release the game for both consoles. I personally haven’t jumped ship to the Xbox One and don’t plan on it either. As I am sure many other people haven’t too. Now if they were bold enough they would release the game on PC which is my main gaming system. Thoughts, any reasons as to why the game should be an exclusive to Xbox One? Why there shouldn’t be a PC or Xbox 360 port.
It should be an Xbox One exclusive to ensure less fragmentation. If the game is on 360 and XB1 it’s going to split the population right off the bat. It’s also a good way to get people to jump ship to XB1. The XB1 is obviously the future of Xbox gaming. The 360 will be dying out very shortly. Might as well make it an XB1 exclusive.
If the game doesn’t feature MP, I don’t care what platform it’s on. They can put it on the Wii U and PS4 for all I care. Without MP the game is useless to me. Sure, campaign with pretty graphics would be nice. I’m a big fan of the Halo 2 campaign. I can kinda already do that though. I can play the campaign, just without the pretty graphics. I can’t however, play the online MP.
XBox One: Campaign & Multiplayer
XBox 360: Campaign & Halo 2 Multiplayer Playlist for Halo 4 (like CEA did with Reach).
^ That would be nice
I highly doubt it’ll be on the 360 at all, but I’d like it to be.
The developers of Fable Anniversary said the reason they did not release the game on the XBone was because Fable’s II & III were on the 360, so the complete trilogy could be played on one console. It’d be nice if 343 did the same, but not necessary. I know that if Halo 2 Anniversary is released exclusively on the XBox One, I will buy an XBox One.
Maybe Microsoft will use Halo 2 Anniversary as bait to get reluctant fans of the older consoles on board. I liked the original XBox and I liked Halo 2; it’ll be a good jumping on point.
I’m not going to stop playing my 360 though. I love Halo 4, I still play Reach, and on occasion I play Halo 3 online, not to mention all the campaigns. I’m actually about to start ODST again.
Either way, I want Halo 2 Anniversary. 343 can has my monies.
No. This is what they should do. Reward people with an exclusive extra that pertains to each system.
For example:
Xbox 360 Version gives you free download of extra multiplayer levels for Halo 4, like CEA did.
Xbox One Version gives you invitation to Halo Xbox One (Halo 5) Beta. And maybe even extra content for that upcoming game as well.
Therefore each system works out. You like the past? 360 Version gives you more for that. Want to see the future? Get the XB1 version then.
Just an idea.

Both 360 and XB1 no PC. Why? Only 2 Halo games were made for the PC and since then all the others were made on the XBox Counsles. It’s money is why. The counsle games sold more than the PC. Plus it’s easier to use the controller than the keyboard on the PC. Both XBoxes because many or most of us here still have the 360 and are happy with them like me since you get to play your Halos on it. I don’t like the XB1 and I don’t like the idea that they would go with cloud storage in the future and not discs. I would rather have discs. Cloud Storage would cause problems such as server overload because of too many people downloading a game at the same time and the server can’t keep up with that. There could be other issues too. Not only that, stores depend on gamers to buy the actual games at their stores they make money off of it. If MS goes with Cloud Storage for games in the near future, the stores will see a downfall and lose gamers and money at the same time. They’ll get hit hard.
IMO this game needs to be a XB1 exclusive. I wouldn’t want 2 achievement lists again and I believe this game would make alot of people go out and buy an xbox one including myself.
I want Halo 2 Anniversary to Xbox 360. I would not buy Xbox One if it was exclusive to it. So that would mean to buy old Xbox just because of Halo 2. And that would suck!
reasons it will be xbox1 exclusive:
-to sell the xbox one, its a console seller
-because halo 3 was sold as xbox360 exclusive, not on original xbox
-because its an anniversary edition, so updated graphics should be on the most up-to-date console
reasons it will be on xbox360 as well:
-halo 2 might give multiplayer maps just like CE anniversary edition did, and that would be for halo 4 (which is currently only on xbox360)
-because theres way more xbox360 users (double digit millions vs single digit million), they’d be missing out on sales
-because h2A is not as much of a console sellers as halo 5 will be, doesn’t need to be an exclusive
-halo 2 would be an entry point into the franchise, would be better to sell to wider audience (ie xbox360)
-halo 2 anniversary could be sold with halo 1 anniversary as an anniversary pack
many reasons for the first two options. none for PC sorry. lol
Xbox one all day.
If the game is being made then make in only on xbox one.
1 very important reason the game would come with a full multiplayer not the crap we got with CE.
The game would release with all of its maps, Have a ranking system like in halo 2. and hey guess what 360 has too many halos on it, give Xbox one a real halo game.
343 already messed up with releasing halo 4 on the 360 dont make that mistake again. Halo 4 should of released as an xbox one launch title seeing as the 360 cant even handle it.
The next game will be xbox one exclusive mainly because there is no point of making a game for the next gen and still making it for the old gen and expecting it to work. just look at Battlefield 4 it couldnt do it. Dont try to move forward while still clinging to the past.
Halo 2 Anniversary should be on both Xb360 an Xb1
Reasons Why
-If made on Xb1, 343 would be skipping a generation of gaming.
-Also not too many people are on Xb1 yet.
-Yet Xb1 Would have better graphics, while Xb360 has a normal updated graphics.
-Xb1 would have more DLC than Xb360 (at least half of the DLC.
-Finally both players of both generations would have an equal amount of fun.

Well it would be a great way to get people to jump onto the Xbox One. Why would the 360 receive half of the DLC?
Your Halo journey on Xbox One will begin in 2014.

Only xbox one please. It’d be a good way to see how far we can stretch xbox visuals and framerate, without having to needlessly suffer a downgrade just for a port to an inferior machine.

This has to be the dumbest thing I’ve read about H2A so far, and I’ve kept up with the news and read a lot of forums over on Team Beyond lol. In your first part you are saying they should release H2A with multiplayer on XBone. Cool, but that means they would have a true remake and not add it onto H4 like you said in your second part. If they were adding it onto H4 then 343 would have to move two different engines over to the XBone. That would be a complete waste of time and resources to make the 360 and XBone people have the same game. If, on the other hand, you meant that H2A for XBone would be a true remake without being a part of H4 at all and the 360 would have a version for H4, that would also be a gross misuse of resources because they would be producing two different games that are supposed to be the exact same. Not really a great idea. Plus Halo 4 has the lowest population of any Halo Multiplayer before the next title launched. No one really plays much of H4 anymore and having H4 anywhere near H2A would hurt sales.
I will say that it would be cool to have all of the games with beautiful resolutions on one console, but MS is trying to sell XBones. The only way to do that is sell exclusives people want to play. However seeing as how you have the opinion that any Halo is good Halo, you have a different mindset than the majority of the Halo community. The majority of the Halo community wants to move forward (while going back to the roots. Sounds complicated, but it works for the good of the franchise) and the only way to move forward is to unite the community around 1 good game. Having H2A on both the 360 and XBone would divide the community across not only two games, but two consoles. Having a solid community would put Halo back in a place where it was when H2 came out in 2004, but with things like Forge and Theater. Those might not be in H2A, but they will be in H5 for sure.
So H2A on XBone only!
Much rather see it on Xbox One only just because they can do whatever they want without being held back. You the 360 got a piece of the H2 action before. I’d like see what the XONE could do. I thought the point was to show what was possible today?
Halo 2 Anniversary should only be on Xbox One because a divided effort in recreating H2 on the 360 and X1 would only ensure that both versions would be compromised instead of optimizing the game on the newer format. Also PC versions of Halo CE and H2 were only released in order to bate PC gamers and get them to buy Xboxes to continue the playing the new Halos.
Xbox One and Windows 8 releases only, please. The game’s overall quality would suffer from being released on the inferior Xbox 360.
All depends on what engine they’re going to use.
If they’re going to use Halo 4’s, then by all means Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC. But If it’s some newer engine that’s better designed for Xbox One, then Xbox One AND PC.
OP, why did you have to do a poll that had options of:
“Xbox One Only”
“Xbox One and Xbox 360”
“Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC”
Why not a “Xbox One and PC”? Why does PC have to be bundled with the Xbox 360? The Xbox 360 is 10 years old hardware, PCs aren’t.
Rather it be an Xbox one exclusive. The 360 is old. Its outdated. Halo 2 may be a remake but it can still benefit from being solely on the Xbox one. I haven’t jumped ship either but I plan on depending on what we hear at e3 and I will be pissed if H2A has to be dumbed down so it can run on old hardware.
