So I bought the game yesterday because I had an itch to play Halo. We wanted to go through the entire story arch so we played through Halo: CE with little to no issues other than getting our -Yoinks!- kicked with some challenging skulls and difficulty. Last night we had a breath of fresh air when we completed CE because it meant tonight was Halo 2 night! We both logged on and connected to each other but… nothing. The Cairo loading bar went up to just a sliver of a load until the host got kicked due to connection issues. We reset our xbox’s, cleared persistent data, and even loaded single player with same skulls to try and get our systems to get used to loading the mission, but when it came time to do coop, we still had the same issue. We decided to try out other missions and the first two were a bust but we were able to successfully load into Metropolis with no issues whatsoever. So what’s the deal here? Why are some missions loadable and some not? Basically the real question here… Why can’t my buddy and I give the Covenant back their bomb?!
MCC has lots of co-op and PvP issues. The update coming on September 1 will resolve all of these though, so hang in there! Until then, I can suggest making sure you both have open NATs and the appropriate ports forwarded.

Thanks for the heads up. We both have open NATs and ports are forwarded just fine, especially considering the issue only arrises with specific missions. If it was the entire game then I would understand a client side issue but this is 100% server side.

Oh yeah, no question. Really sucks you’re not able to enjoy it right now and it’s not the best intro to the MCC, so hopefully the update will satisfy that itch
