Playing the mission Delta Halo on Legendary, the game crashes and actually shuts off my Xbox One X.
Not very far into the mission you come across a bridge you have to extend with Wraiths on the other side. Every time I get across the bridge or into the tunnels just past that area, the game freezes and ~20 seconds later the entire Xbox shuts down. I think this error might be related to when I get a checkpoint once I pass this bridge area in the mission?
I’m playing two player couch co-op. No skulls. Second player is signed in as my guest. No issues with single player.
I had similar issues with one Spartan Ops mission last year, but that bug was fixed and all is good. I’m hoping this might be something similar.
I’ve tried resetting my Xbox, uninstalling and reinstalling the game, playing offline, and everything else I can find on forums as suggested fixes for this type of issues, but nothing works.
Anybody have any ideas what else I can do, if anything, to fix it?

EDIT: Changing the graphics to the original Halo 2 graphics and leaving them that way for the entire mission seems to have fixed the issue.
Hello I’m also experiencing the same issue when I’m half way or even before I activate the bridge. I’m not really sure what the problem is but I hope that 343 looks into it. I love playing this game with my brother and this issue really takes away the fun when it keeps crashing so hopefully it gets fixed. Also if it’s happening in other missions they should fix it too.
There have been crash issues with this level since launch that persist to this day. I’m convinced it’s a bug/glitch and not an install issue because I’ve reinstalled the game and restarted my console multiple times and it’s never really helped much. Sometimes playing in classic mode helps, sometimes not.
It happens almost every time when playing split screen but can happen in single player too. Usually towards the end of the level after the bit with the Drones for me but sometimes near the beginning at the bridge too.
This level has always been a favourite and it’s so disappointing when everything else in the game runs really smoothly now. It’s like this one part is cursed or something. I hope that by the time that Halo 2 launches for the PC version it gets fixed but I’m not holding my breath on it.
