There are videos about the classic cutscenes in Halo 2:A circulating around the internet.
One is from the youtuber Generalkidd:
As you could see, with just a simple renaming of a file, the game actually uses the classic cutscenes, instead of the pre-rendered videos by blur.
It’s really there, though it’s obvious that they are unfinished.
It would be really nice if 343i would allow us to officially have the option to switch from the videos to the classic real-time rendered cutscenes, not just by modifying the game files.
I mean, the videos by blur studios are really amazing. Except for my little complain about Miranda Keyes looking like she’s as old as her father, I was really glad to see the game’s characters in realistic graphics.
But it would really be nice to see the classic cutscenes in the realistic way that you could actually see the troopers supporting you and the bloody carnage you have caused around you because of the real-time rendering.
